Luxembourg Consumer Prices Increase In August

Luxembourg's consumer price index or CPI rose 0.24% year-on-year in August, compared with a 0.7% fall in the previous month, the Central Service for Statistics and Economic Studies said on Wednesday.

Food and soft drinks prices increased 0.55% annually in August, while transport charges fell 2.20%. Housing, water, electricity and fuels prices dipped 3.87%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI increased 1.32% in August, after falling 0.90% in July.
