Monday, Statistics Lithuania announced that retail sales decreased 0.3% month-on-month in August, in contrast to the 3.1% rise in the previous month.
On an annual basis, retail sales decreased 23.1% in August, compared with the 27.1% fall in the preceding month.
For the January to August period, retail sales dipped 27.9% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
Meanwhile, retail sales excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles dropped 0.4% on a monthly basis, and it was down 19.6% compared to the prior year.
