Thursday, the Statistics Lithuania announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 2.7% year-on-year in September, faster than the 2.6% growth in the previous month. A year earlier, the CPI was up 11%.
Food and non-alcoholic drinks prices fell 2% on an annual basis in September, while clothing and footwear prices dropped 9.7%. Transport charges were down 4.3%.
On a monthly basis, the CPI increased 0.6% in September, after falling 0.2% in August.
