Lithuania HICP Inflation Eases In August

Wednesday, the Statistics Lithuania announced that the harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 2.2% year-on-year in August, slower than the 2.6% growth in the previous month.

On a monthly basis, the HICP decreased 0.2% in August, after falling 0.8% in July.

Meanwhile, the average annual HICP inflation stood at 6.9% in August, slowing from 7.8% growth in the previous month. A year ago, the HICP inflation was 10.4%.
