Latvia Trade Deficit Narrows In June

Monday, the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia announced that the trade deficit stood at LVL 67.2 million in June, narrowing from LVL 83.9 million in May. A year ago, the trade deficit was LVL 269.9 million.

Exports dropped 20.6% year-on-year to LVL 285.33 million, while imports dipped 44% to LVL 352.48 million.

For the January to June period, exports and imports dropped by 26.4% and 40.5%, respectively.
