Italian August Inflation Revised To 0.1% From 0.2%

Italy's consumer price index or CPI including tobacco rose 0.1% year-on-year in August, statistical office Istat said Wednesday. It was revised from an increase of 0.2% reported on August 31.

On a monthly basis, the CPI grew 0.3%, revised from 0.4% rise reported preliminarily.

Excluding tobacco, the CPI rose 0.1% annually and 0.3% compared to July.

The harmonized index of consumer prices rose 0.1% year-on-year and 0.2% month-on-month. That was revised from increases of 0.2% and 0.3%, respectively.
