Iceland Producer Price Inflation Eases In July

Friday, the Statistics Iceland announced that the producer price index or PPI rose 10.1% year-on-year in July, slower than the 11% growth in the previous month. A year earlier, the PPI had grown 35.7%.

The PPI for power intensive industry products decreased 15% on an annual basis in July, while the PPI for food products rose 13.6%.

On a monthly basis, the PPI increased 3.5% in July, faster than the 1.1% growth in the preceding month.
