Hungary Retail Sales Decline In July

Wednesday, Hungary's Central Statistical Office announced that the retail sales decreased 6.6% year-on-year in July, compared to the 2.2% fall in the previous month. Economists' expected a decline of 5%.

On a monthly basis, retail sales decreased a seasonally adjusted 2.3% in July, in contrast to the 0.4% growth in the previous month.

For the first seven months of the year, retail sales dropped 3.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
