Hungary Q2 GDP Drops Further

Thursday, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office said in a preliminary report that the gross domestic product or GDP dropped 7.6% year-over-year in the second quarter, compared with a 6.7% decline in the previous quarter.

Adjusting for calendar effects, the GDP dropped 7.5% annually in the second quarter, compared to a 6.1% fall in the preceding quarter.

Sequentially, the GDP dipped a seasonally adjusted 2.1% in the second quarter, after falling 2.6% in the first quarter.
