Hungary Jan.-Aug. Tourist Arrivals Decline

Monday, Hungary's Central Statistical Office said that the foreign tourist arrivals decreased 12% year-on-year in the January to August period. Meanwhile, the domestic tourist arrivals were down 6%.

During the period, the number of overnight stays by foreign tourist dropped 11%, while overnight stays by domestic tourists fell 6%.

Meanwhile, the revenue at accommodation establishments decreased 9% in the January to August period over a year ago.
