Hungary August Industrial Output Drops - Final

Wednesday, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office said in a final report that the industrial production decreased 19.8% year-on-year in August, compared to the 19.5% fall in the previous month. Industrial output in August was revised from a 19.9% fall estimated initially.

The production index adjusted for working days was equal to the non-adjusted one, the statistical office said.

On a monthly basis, industrial production dropped a seasonally and working day adjusted dropped 0.5% in August, revised from a 0.7% fall reported initially. In July, industrial production was down 0.9%.

For the January to August period, industrial production declined 21.9% compared to the same period of the previous year, revised from a 21.8% drop estimated in the preliminary report.
