Thursday, the General Secretariat of the National Statistical Service of Greece said in a report that the consumer price index or CPI rose 0.7% year-on-year in September, slower than the 0.8% growth in the previous month. A year earlier, the CPI was up 4.6%.
On a monthly basis, the CPI climbed 1.9% in September, after falling 0.7% in August.
Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 0.7% on an annual basis in September, slowing from 1% growth in August. Month-on-month, the HICP was up 1.9%.
