German Oct. GfK Consumer Confidence Improves

German consumer confidence for October improved to 4.3 points from a revised value of 3.8 points in September, the latest monthly survey from GfK Group showed Friday.

The income expectations index recorded a fourth consecutive increase in September. The indicator now stands at 16 points, up from 8.8 in August. Meanwhile, economic outlook rose to 3.4 points from minus 7.5 in the prior month. The index measuring propensity to buy showed a reading of 36.5 versus August's 31.1.
