German July ILO Jobless Rate At 7.7%

Germany's seasonally adjusted ILO unemployment rate was 7.7% in July, the Federal Statistical Office said Tuesday. A year ago, the jobless rate was 7.3%.

The number of unemployed amounted to a seasonally adjusted 3.32 million in July. Compared with the previous year, unemployment was up by a seasonally adjusted 210,000 persons or 6.7%.

On a monthly basis, the seasonally adjusted number of unemployed rose by less than 10,000 persons or 0.2%, the statistical office said.
