Finland Retail Sales Decline In July

Tuesday, the Statistics Finland announced that the retail sales decreased 0.3% year-on-year in July, compared to the 1.2% fall in the previous month. Similarly, sales volume decreased 0.4%.

Wholesale trade turnover slumped 21.3% on an annual basis in July, while motor vehicle sales plunged 33.4%. Total sales dropped 16.6%.

For the January to July period, retail sales dropped 2.2% compared to the same period of the previous year. During the period, wholesales trade turnover decreased 19.7%.
