Friday, Statistics Finland said that wage and salary earnings in the country rose 4.3% year-on-year in the third quarter, which is the same rate of growth as in the previous two quarters.
In the third quarter, real earnings climbed 5.1% on year, faster than the 4.1% growth in the previous quarter. Real earnings in the central government sector increased 5.8% from last year, while those in the private sector and the local government sector rose 4.4% and 3.4%, respectively.
At the same time, regular earnings - which excludes performance-based bonuses and other irregularly paid one-off items from total earnings - increased 4.9% annually.
