Monday, the Statistics Finland announced that the producer price index or PPI for manufactured products dropped 9.4% year-on-year in September, compared to the 8.6% fall in the previous month.
The decline in producer prices for manufactured products was mainly due to fall in metals and oil products prices, the statistical office said.
On a monthly basis, the PPI dropped 0.2% in September, in contrast to the 0.7% increase in the previous month.
In September, export price index decreased 10% o an annual basis, while import price index fell 11.7%. Month-on-month, export prices remained unchanged and import prices were down 1.3%.
Meanwhile, the wholesale price index or WPI slipped 10.2% year-on-year in September, after falling 9.5% in August. The WPI dropped 0.9% compared to the preceding month.
