Friday, the Statistics Finland announced that the turnover in manufacturing industries decreased 29.4% year-on-year in the May to July period, compared to a 30% fall recorded in the April to June period.
Domestic sales dropped 26.3% on an annual basis to the May to July period, while export turnover slipped 31.4%.
In the May to July period, turnover was contracted in all manufacturing industries. During the period, the food industry contracted 3.2%, and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply decreased 9%.
The strongest decline recorded in chemical and metal industry, which was 36.3 % and 33.4%, respectively in the May to July period.
