The finnish trade balance swung to a deficit of 75 million euros in August, compared to the 165 million euros surplus recorded in July, the National Customs Board reported Friday. This marks the first trade deficit recorded since March 2009. A year ago, the trade balance showed a surplus of 140 million euros.
Exports declined around 38% annually to 3.15 billion euros, while imports declined about 35% to 3.23 billion euros.
