Dutch Industrial Output Declines At Slower Pace In August

Industrial production in the Netherlands was down 8.2% year-on-year in August, slower than the 10.4% drop in the preceding month, the Central Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday.

In August, output in the transport equipment industry group plunged 38.9% and output in the furniture industry decreased 24.3%. On the other hand, the food & drink industry recorded the biggest rise of 4.2%.

Further, industrial turnover dropped 21.8% annually in August, slower than the 23.6% fall in the previous month. Turnover was down across the board, with the steepest decline of 42.5% seen in the transport equipment group.
