Danish Consumer Prices Climb In August

Thursday, a report by Statistics Denmark said consumer prices climbed 1.1% year-on-year in August, faster than a 1% rise in the preceding month. The rise came in line with economists expectations.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices were up 0.3%, faster than a 0.2% rise expected by economists and reversing a 0.5% drop in the preceding month.

Meanwhile, the harmonized consumer prices climbed 0.7% year-on-year in August, at the same pace as in July and was also in line with economists' expectations. Month-on-month, the harmonized consumer prices were up 0.3%, faster than a 0.2% increase expected by economists.
