Bulgaria's Inflation Eases In August

Bulgaria's consumer price index rose 1.3% year-on-year in August after rising 1.6% in July, the statistical office said Monday.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices were down 0.2% in August following a 0.6% decline in July, due to a fall in domestic demand. This is for the fourth consecutive month, the CPI is falling on a monthly basis.

The harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 1.3% annually and inched up 0.1% on a monthly basis.
