Austria June Trade Deficit Widens

Friday, data released by the Statistics Austria showed that Austria's trade deifict stood at EUR 134.59 million in June, larger than the EUR 127.21 million shortfall recorded a year ago.

Year-on-year, improts were down 24.7% in June, while exports fell 25%. Imports totalled EUR 8.02 billion and exports were worth EUR 7.89 billion in June.

During the first half of the year, Austria recorded a trade deficit of EUR 1.89 billion, with imports totaling EUR 47.74 billion and exports worth EUR 45.84 billion. There was a 21.2 % decline in imports from the same period last year and exports fell 24.5%.
