The G20 should develop an ambitious agenda for "responsible globalization" that links efforts to promote balanced growth with financial stability, development and climate change, Robert Zoellick, World Bank President said in an interview to the Financial Times. Leaders of G20 will meet in Pittsburgh on September 24-25.
"The challenge for the G20 is how do you sustain the momentum and co-operation they were able to achieve when staring into the abyss at the time of the London summit as the crisis wanes?" said Zoellick.
He said the nations should talk about responsible globalization in the meeting. The message of the Pittsburgh needs to be more than implementing the agenda set in London, that was mostly related to financial stability or reforming bankers' bonuses.
