UK Tourist Arrivals Increase During May-July

Thursday, UK's Office for National Statistics announced that the number of tourist arrivals increased a seasonally adjusted 2% to 7.7 million in the May to July period compared to the previous three months. The number of visits by Europeans declined 6% to 22.7 million in the May to July period, while visits from North America dropped 21% to 3.4 million. Visits from other parts of the world decreased 11% to 4.2 million.

At the same time, the number of visits abroad by UK residents decreased by 1% to 14.9 million.
