Sweden's purchasing mangers' index or PMI for the manufacturing sector rose to a seasonally adjusted 54.3 in July from 50.5 in June, the latest survey by the Swedbank and SILF said on Monday. This was the highest level since March 2008.
A reading above 50 indicates expansion in the sector, while a reading below 50 signals a contraction.
The production index rose to 61 in July from 55.8 in June, while the new orders index edged up to 60.5 from 54.7.
