Wednesday, the Spain National Statistics Institute announced that the Industrial production dropped 14.5% year-over-year in June, compared with a 22.3% fall in the preceding month. A year earlier, production was down 10.9%.
On a calender adjusted basis, industrial production decreased 16.2% annually in June, after falling 20.5% in May. Economists' had expected a decline of 18.6%.
For the first six months of the year, industrial production decreased an adjusted 20.7% compared to the same period of the previous year. On an adjusted basis, industrial production dipped 21.5% over a year ago.
