Norway Retail Sales Volume Declines In June

Wednesday, the Statistics Norway announced that the retail sales volume, excluding motor vehicle sales dropped a seasonally adjusted 2.5% month-on-month in June. Economists were looking for a decline of 0.6%. However, retail sales increased an unadjusted 1% compared to the previous year.

For the January to June period, retail sales volume were down 1.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, retail sales volume , excluding petrol stations, increased 2.3% on an annual basis in June.
