Lithuania H1 Trade Deficit Narrows

Friday, the Statistics Lithuania announced that the trade deficit stood at LTL 2.2 billion in the January to June period, narrowing from LTL 10.1 billion deficit in a year ago.

Exports decreased 31% annually to LTL 18.96 billion in the first half of the year, while imports dipped 41.5% to LTL 21.22 billion.

In the second quarter, exports totaled LTL 9.52 billion, while imports amounted to LTL 10.72 billion. At the same time, the trade deficit stood at LTL 1.19 billion, widening from LTL 1.07 billion in the previous quarter.
