Latvia Q2 GDP Drops Further

Monday, the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia said in a report that the gross domestic product or GDP decreased 19.6% year-over-year in the second quarter, compared with a 18% fall in the first quarter. A year earlier, the GDP was up 0.5%.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the GDP volume fell 18.2% annually in the second quarter.

At the same time, retail sales volume dipped 28%, while hotel and restaurant services volume dipped 35%.
