Japan is set to release final July figures for industrial production on Monday, headlining a light day for Asia-Pacific economic news. Also due are August figures for Tokyo condominium sales.
Little change is expected from the preliminary report, in which industrial output added 1.90 percent on month in July but plunged 22.90 percent on year. Condo sales were down 9.10 percent on year in the previous month.
Hong Kong will announce industrial production numbers for the second quarter of 2009. Analysts are expecting output to retreat 5.3 percent on year after the 10.2 percent annual contraction in the previous three months.
New Zealand will announce retail sales figures for July, with expectations for a 0.4 percent increase on month following the 0.10 percent gain in June. Minus automobile sales, retail sales are forecast to add 0.5 percent after easing 0.4 percent in the previous month.
