Tuesday, Hungary's Central Statistical Office announced that the gross domestic product or GDP decreased a seasonally adjusted 2% sequentially in the second quarter, compared to the 2.6% decline in the previous quarter. The second quarter GDP was revised from 2.1% fall estimated initially.
Year-on-year, the GDP dropped 7.5% in the second quarter, revised from 7.6% drop reported initially. In the first quarter, the GDP was down 6.7%.
Adjusting for calendar effects, the GDP dropped 7.4% annually in the second quarter, compared to a 6.1% fall in the preceding quarter. The second quarter GDP was revised from 7.5% fall estimated in the preliminary report.
