Wednesday, Hungary's Central Statistical Office announced that the trade surplus stood at EUR 547.9 million in July, up from EUR 424.4 million deficit a year ago. In June, the trade surplus was EUR 457.3 million.
Exports dropped 18% year-on-year to EUR 5.064 million in July, while imports fell 32% annually to EUR 4.516 million.
For the January to July period, the trade surplus stood at 2.6 billion, up from EUR 136.1 millio0n deficit a year ago. During the period, exports and imports fell by 25% and 31%, respectively.
