Thursday, Hungary's Central Statistical Office announced that the average gross earnings in corporations employing at least five persons and in budgetary institutions increased 1.4% year-on-year in July, faster than the 1.1% growth in the previous month.
For the January to July period, average gross earnings grew 1.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.
During the period, private sector earnings increased 0.4%, while it fell 8.1% at budgetary institutions. This was mainly due to the changes of thirteen month salary payment rule, the statistical office said.
Meanwhile, the average net earnings increased 3.9% on an annual basis in July, rising from 0.9% growth in the previous month.
