German June ILO Jobless Rate Stable At 7.7%

Thursday, Germany's Federal Statistical Office announced that the ILO jobless rate stood at 7.7% in June, marking the same pace as in the previous month. A year earlier, the jobless rate was 7.3%.

The number of unemployed amounted to a seasonally adjusted 3.35 million in June, compared to the 3.32 million in May. Year-on-year, unemployment was up 220,000 persons or 6.9%. On a monthly basis, it was an increase of 30,000 persons or 0.8%.

The number of persons in employment decreased 81,000 or 0.2% annually to 40.10 million in June.
