Friday, the Statistics Finland announced that the building cost index dropped 2.1% year-on-year in August, compared to the 1.9% fall in the previous month.
Prices of materials fell 3.2% on an annual basis in August, while those of other inputs decreased 6.8%.
On a monthly basis, building costs remained unchanged in August. At the same time, materials prices rose 0.1%, while other inputs prices dropped 0.4%.
Meanwhile, labor costs in construction rose 2.4% annually in August, slower than the 2.7% growth in the previous month. Labor costs were down 0.1% compared to the preceding month.
