European Economics Preview: UK Public Sector Finance Data Due

Friday, UK's public sector finances and German producer prices reports are due.

The Federal Statistical Office is slated to issue Germany's producer prices for August at 2.00am ET. After falling 1.5% month-on-month in July, producer prices are forecast to rise 0.2%. Annually, the decline is seen at 7.2%.

Thereafter, the French statistical office INSEE is slated to release final data for the second quarter wages.

At 3.30am ET, the Statistics Netherlands is scheduled to issue consumer confidence survey results. Consumer sentiment is forecast to rise to minus 15 in September from minus 17 in August.

Half an hour later, the Eurozone current account balance is due from European Central Bank. The current account balance had showed a deficit of EUR 0.3 billion in June.

At 4.30am ET, UK's Office for National Statistics is expected to publish details of public sector finances. The public sector net borrowings is forecast to rise to GBP 18 billion in August from GBP 8 billion in July.

In the meantime, a preliminary report for August M4 money supply is due from the Bank of England. Annual growth in M4 money supply is expected to slow to 14.4% in August from 14.5% in July.
