Belgium Business Confidence Improves Again In August

Tuesday, the National Bank of Belgium said in a report that the business confidence indicator rose to minus 18.2 in August from minus 22.8 in July. Economists had expected a reading of minus 20 for August.

Manufacturing industrial confidence stood at minus 19.2 in August, up from minus 21.9 in July. At the same time, the building industry confidence increased to minus 12 from minus 15.9 in June.

Meanwhile, the confidence indicator in trade sector was minus 17.6 in August, unchanged from the previous month.
